The 2018 CEO Roundtable discussion was the third in a series of exclusive small-group discussions with healthcare executives representing hospitals and health systems from around the U.S., each with varying degrees of success in shifting from fee-for-service payment toward reimbursement based on value. These discussions were held at the annual ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership and facilitated by Mike Leavitt, former governor of Utah, former secretary, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and founder, Leavitt Partners.
These discussions have helped reveal what executives perceive to be key challenges to the current healthcare environment and changes that must occur to advance the U.S. healthcare system.
